Approach
Relationships are the Bedrock of Fundraising.
Reiss2 Advisors meet our clients where they are with expertise, creativity and flexibility. We are dedicated to the principal that abundance is everywhere.
We take the time to get to know your history and understand your vision. As nonprofit professionals, we have been in your position and understand the challenges of sustaining an organization and bringing a vision to life.
What we know for sure is this: Fundraising happens at the speed of trust.
There is no secret to successful fundraising. It takes time and patience to build sustainable relationships. There is also no silver bullet, only daily planning and execution with all hands –staff and board—on deck. Cultivating donors takes time.
Reiss2 Advisors is confident we can bring our trusted, proven donor relationships to further your mission and vision.
Reiss2 Advisors are development and fundraising specialists: “we knock down doors” and identify, cultivate, and solicit donations from high-net-worth individuals, institutional foundations and corporations.

“Teach Them to Fish”© Training
"Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish, you feed him for a lifetime." Nonprofit leaders naturally focus on programs and vision first, with development a distant second. Few of us like asking for money, and even fewer of us are good at it. For funders, this means that many of their grantees are doing amazing work but are dependent on just a few key donors and live grant to grant.
"Teach Them to Fish"© takes leaders beyond Fundraising 101 to address the hidden barriers and attitudes that hold us back. Instead of just "giving them a fish," it allows funders, donors, and incubators to provide nonprofits leaders with the tools they need, so their organizations can achieve sustainability and scale. Our "Teach Them to Board" covers all the fundamentals of board management, including Give ‘n Get, roles and responsibilities, and director cultivation and recruitment.
In addition, Reiss2 provide our clients with other support services as needed.
-
We leverage decades of experience helping nonprofits to determine the best way to meet their strategic goals. We do so by working closely with your key stakeholders and leadership to analyze key components of your organization to create a 3-5 year strategic plan. This includes analyzing your current programs, staff capacity, gaining stakeholder input and helping leadership determine a new strategic direction.
-
We will use our vast experience and best practices to fill short-term, interim executive and fundraising staff positions. Our goal is to maintain stability and keep the momentum while your nonprofit is going through leadership transitions, organizational restructuring and/or working on a strategic plan.
-
Our work includes supporting board chair/executive director relations, working with specific committees on the board and/or helping boards to understand their fiduciary or ‘duty of care’ responsibility to the organization. We train boards on both what it means to be a board members and on their specific fund raising responsibilities. We also help to create plans for board recruitment, and actively help with outreach to top board candidates.
-
We work one-on-one with leadership to focus on your organizational challenges, business goals and desired outcomes. This includes working to help make tough strategic decisions, change management, promoting lived-experience and diversity, equity, and inclusion goals and leadership transitions.
